DIRECTOR OF SALES and MARKETING.

 

1. Minimum of five years’ experience as Director of Sales & Marketing or must have held similar role
2. In the luxury hotel industry preferably with Maldives experience.

3. Bachelor’s degree and/or Hotel Management degree or diploma.
4. Oversees and directs all aspects of the Sales/ Marketing /promotional activities.
5. Solid experience in planning and development of promotional strategies, marketing plans and Building business relationships with key partners.
6. Good strategist and haste observe the market, identity trend and monitor the main competitors.
7. Strong Knowledge of preparing business plans and budget forecasts.
8. Experience in managing and implementing brand standards
9. Ability to lead and manage all day-to-day activities related to the Sales &Marketing functions.
10. Embraces change and able to think strategically.
11. Is a team player and fosters a culture of feedback

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for the daily sales, revenue and overall positioning of Velaa Private Island and the development of customer and partner relationships for the property.
2. Represent Velaa Private Island at regional industry, tradeshows, conferences and events.
3. Establish close relationships with key industry partners within the Asian market.
4. Plan and execute sales calls as well as organize events, trainings and webinars.
5. Communicate effectively to ensure that the sales functions are carried out smoothly and commitments are met.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior sales position at a 5 star luxury hotel/resort.
2. Maldives experience would be a will be an added advantage.
3. A bachelors or masters degree in hospitality management or marketing field would also be an added advantage.
4. Candidates must have a dynamic, positive and energetic leadership style, hold excellent communication and decision making skills.
5. Fluent in written and spoken English and additional Asian languages will be an added advantage.
6. Pleasant personality with excellent grooming.
7. Ability to travel extensively based on business requirements.
8. Strong focus on business development.
9. Disciplined and able to work independently and take the responsibility for your own market with the right support.
10. An excellent team player within the sales team.
